“The thing about sales is that you have to remember they’re not rejecting you.”
That’s what my hairstylist said as we talked about business, and I couldn’t agree more.
Except...when it’s your own art on a shirt, it feels a little different.
These aren’t designs someone else created. They’re ideas that lived in my head, made their way onto paper, and eventually onto fabric. So every launch week, I do a whole lot of regulating and reminding myself that a “no” isn’t personal.
Friend, I spent so many of my precious summer hours creating this collection for you. It honestly feels a little like opening the front door for your prom date. Will he like it? That’s the level of vulnerability I’m living in this week.
That being said...I’m also standing on business.
Listen, I know you’re clocking it. Lol. I just had to use this meme because my teenager would be proud.
I know what I created is special.
I know, deep in my gut, that the woman who is tired of dressing like everyone else is going to get this collection. The woman who appreciates beauty, uniqueness, and clothes that feel like they have a story. The woman with personal style for days who isn’t interested in looking like everyone else.
She’ll understand exactly why these pieces were worth making.
And if that’s you...I cannot wait for you to see what I’ve been working on.

1 I watched 3 whole seasons of this while painting shirts. It’s just old enough to feel slow and nostalgic but still current. The slow edits and British accents lulled me into a flow state every time.
2 I also listened to book six of this series. If you haven’t gotten into this series yet, what are you waiting for?
3 I wore these shorts ON REPEAT because they are so comfy to paint in but also look great with a button down and loafers. I DON’T MAKE THE RULES.
4 Lastly, and this is a big one, the latest painted shirt drop is here. One of one. School is about to start, which means I have no idea when the next drop will be. This may be our last one for a while. Oh and you get to add on a hand embroidered monogram!
My hope is that it sells out and I can’t wait to see you styling it in the most awesome outfits.
Because if there’s one thing I know to be true is: life is just better if I like my outfit.
