The perfect pants, a bear sweater and my least favorite outfit this week

My friend gifted my this Paris Review Magazine and I can’t wait to dig in

I’m writing this day of publication due to an extra busy week. I’m about to cook a lot of bacon and make a mountain of pancakes for a bunch of my son’s friends who are coming over for brunch to celebrate his 16th birthday. Personally, I’m still in denial since his actual birthday isn’t for another week. Yet here we are. If I could go back and tell that first time mom anything would be to just let go of her own agenda and presupposed ideas… This boy came to rock that young mom’s boat and I’m forever better for it.

High and Low outfit edition

I have to do two high outfits simply because these pants continue to amaze me. I absolutely love how they feel and the fit is just exceptional. I loved pairing it with an all black base and then adding the leather jacket and flats to elevate it. I also loved pairing it with heels and a button down to feel put together for parent teacher meetings. I’d say both days I felt great in what I was wearing and just absolutely loved how I felt in them. The white button down is a recent second hand find from Sezane. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur of white button downs and this is TOP NOTCH.

Now for the low of the week:

It was a good outfit in theory and actually looking at it I don’t mind it as much as wearing it. I think the main problem was that I got dressed so quickly, there was no intention behind it. That sometimes leads to awesome outfits and sometimes leaves you hanging. I added the raincoat for practical reasons but then couldn’t seem to make my rain boots work so went with the sambas. Also, if I am being honest, I’m not sure I love the way these pants fit. May be time to say goodbye. Im going to try them one more time this week and then make my final call.
