This week marks the start of my Summer of Slow. It’s only been a few days, but I already feel unrecognizable. I know, dramatic, but opting out of the content creation rat race has been eye-opening. My family says I’m acting strange, coming up with new projects each day (seriously, it's only been five days—I’ve already committed to re-staining the porch, repainting my living room, and organizing our family photos). But with each day I spend away from the constant barrage of opinions online, my mind is clearing up.
Which brings me to the next step: slowing down even more. To help me do that, I’ve decided that the Put Together newsletter will now go out twice a week. This shift will allow me to focus on giving you a higher-quality, more intentional publication, which I’m really excited about.
So in the spirit of slowing down and enjoying the small things, here’s an outfit round-up. Today, I’m switching things up by telling you which pieces were my starting point for each look, and why.

1. Plaid Skirt
This outfit started with the skirt. I’m a huge fan of Summer plaid, and this particular skirt immediately caught my eye. I love how it reminds me of the Argentinian tourists I saw growing up on the island, their fashion always more European than what I was used to. As the weather was chilly, I layered it with a navy vintage Ralph Lauren blazer and a Clare V. Tee (similar , similar for a real bargain). To keep an all blue look but then making an “accessory sandwich”with the vintage Tory Burch black belt and black sandals. The cherry on top was my Apolis tote (I got mine from my friend Amy), bringing in that laid-back, Summer feeling I’m always chasing.

2. Open Weave Sweater
I started with the same plaid skirt (because I couldn’t resist) but wanted something more casual. This open weave sweater (similar here) , which I’ve had for a while, felt like the perfect choice. The sweater added texture to the outfit, while the Havaianas brought in a touch of island vibes that remind me of home. I challenge you to find your own Summer vibe, that thing you always gravitate toward, and make sure it shows up in your outfits this season.
3. Wide-Legged Shorts
Look, I couldn’t resist these wide-legged shorts. They were all over my Pinterest , and I love the extra room around my thighs. For comfort, I paired them with an open weave sweater again—it’s lightweight but warm enough for air-conditioned rooms. To keep things unexpected, I added ballet flats to give the look a cool, subversive twist. Same bag as before, because I’m keeping that Summer vibe going, even with the dreary weather.
4. Vintage Rain Coat & Shorts
For field day at my kids’ school, I started with my new favorite pair of shorts. These are a perfect mix of comfort and style, and I loved the idea of pairing them with a loose button-down shirt. The weather had me questioning if we’d be inside or outside, so I threw on my new vintage London Fog raincoat. It’s the perfect balance between a trench coat and a sporty jacket—something I’ve been searching for! It’s practical for rain but still chic enough to wear on casual days. My friend Brooke was wearing this one the other day that I think fits that balance.
What do you think? Do you enjoy posts like this where I share my thought process behind putting an outfit together? I know figuring out what to wear every day can feel like a chore, but it doesn’t have to be when you approach it with a curated closet and simple, easy tools.
With love,
Priscila
